The Seventh Doctor, portrayed by Sylvester McCoy, is a character in the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who. He first appeared in the final episode of the serial "Time and the Rani" in 1987, following the regeneration of the Sixth Doctor.
This incarnation is often characterised by his manipulation and strategic planning. Initially presented as a more comedic and eccentric figure, the Seventh Doctor's era gradually became darker and more morally ambiguous.
